Daily Practices
he basic practice for any of the other programs is Spiral Dragon Dharma Gate. This practice is very easy to learn and to perform the five exercises and Spiral Dragon meditation. This practice induces greater health, energy, and more rapid spiritual progress. Presently, there is instruction in several levels of Spiral Dragon.Within Tibetan medicine there are practices that increase one’s own health and lead to improving one’s abilities to assess and heal others. Seminars in health & healing are another Temple program that will be offered in the Fall of 1999.
In Spiritual Counseling, insights are shared to help each person improve their living. An important aspect is to teach unique personal practices that resolve life’s impasses or develop special individual talents or destinies.
Programs that explore the connection between science and spirituality will be hosted by the Life Torch Foundation at www.lifetorch.org. The Foundation is dedicated to conducting research that demonstrates the validity of the spiritual path. The Foundation is also dedicated to using spiritual insights to create new knowledge and products that integrate body, mind and spirit.
The above programs are open to anyone with a sincere interest in learning. For those who choose to follow the path toward enlightenment, and for those who aspire to become Bodhisattvas, Master Quan initiates students and trains disciples. The decision to study in this manner is momentous in many lifetimes. One who wishes to follow the Buddhist path may be initiated as a Buddhist. Students then practice prostrations and Spiral Dragon. A student may request to become a disciple after she or he has performed these practices as a preliminary. After studying with Master Quan, one has the opportunity to decide if Master Quan ought to be your guru. Master Quan is also in a better position to decide to accept a student as his Vajrayana disciple.
